Myths and Legends Competition

I think it's about time for another art and craft competition. The theme for this competition is myths and legends, and you can take your inspiration for this from any part of the world. This competition is open to everyone.

The deadline for entries for this competition is the 28th June 2009. See below for details on how to enter.


The Prizes

1st Prize - A £20 (or equivalent in your currency) gift voucher for an online store of your choice* plus 200 Creatures points.

2nd Prize - 100 Creatures points

3rd Prize - 50 Creatures points

Everyone who enters will receive a mystery Creatures item.

*The online store must not charge extra for postage of a gift voucher. You must be willing to either give your email address or address in order to receive the voucher (whichever the store requires). This will be in private and not shared with anyone else.


The Rules

- Entries must be submitted by the 28th June 2009.
- Entries may be artwork or craft of any kind.
- Entries must be all your own work.
- If any part of your work is not your own creation (e.g. using a cross stitch chart designed by someone else, or editing a photo taken by someone else) please mention this in your description.
- Entries must be posted in the entries thread, and must contain a title and description to go with your picture.
- Only one entry per person.


How To Enter

To enter this competition you must be a member of the Crafts 'n' Creatures forum. Becoming a member is quick and free, just click here. Once you are a member simply go to the entries thread - click here - and make a post attaching a photo or scan of your completed entry along with a title for the piece and a short description.


How Will A Winner Be Chosen

After the deadline of the 28th June, a poll will be created allowing all members of the forum to vote for their favourite entry. The winner will be the entry with the most votes after 3 days.

How exciting! I was just asked to design something for a friend yesterday and had just decided on a mythical theme - I shall now be able to enter it in the competition (providing it's ready in time - LOL!).

Well, my design is almost completed - now I just have to wait for my supplies to be delivered - hopefully some of them will arrive tomorrow (although the earliest some of them could possibly arrive is Monday) so I can make a start. I'm quite pleased with the design - I just hope it looks as good in cross stitch as I think it does on paper!

yeah just the three, I've just moved house so most of my projects are still packed away, if they were all easily accessable I'd be hard pressed to narrow it down to 20
